Do something great on MLK Day

Hangout at one of King County's most beautiful beaches, and help make it even more beautiful while you are there! People For Puget Sound is hosting a restoration event on MLK Jr Day at the little known Maury Island Marine Park, where volunteers will plant native plants in areas recently cleared of invasive blackberry and scotch broom. Mining activities at this location virtually stripped it of natural vegetation. Much of the shoreline needs some help re-establishing a native plant community. We hope you can grab the ferry and join us at this beautiful location on Puget Sound. Come learn more about the park and enjoy the beautiful views while getting your hands dirty helping to restore it! Please RSVP at restoration@pugetsound.com for more details
