Come on outside for morning adventures and explorations into the wilder places of Vashon Island! Local naturalist Matt McKinney will teach you nature awareness and survival skills.

Let’s discover what lies hidden under rocks and decaying logs. Let’s follow animal trails, start primitive fires, and make arrowheads from beachside rocks. Let's learn the old ways by listening to what the birds are saying about us and everything else as we move through the land. Come make friends with the trees and learn to move invisibly like the scouts of old!
