Adoptive Families Film + Discussion

EXTENDED FAMILY, a short documentary about connections between adoptive and birth families, will screen Tuesday, September 23rd at the Vashon Library. This personal story explores the question of whether adoptive parents should search for and connect with their children’s birth families—and what happens when they do. The free screening is hosted by the Adoptive Families of Vashon group and will be followed by a panel discussion featuring filmmaker Jill Hodges, adoptive parents, a birth parent and an adult adoptee. This event is appropriate for adults and mature teens.
