Commissioners Wald, Branch, and Hopkins have agreed to hold a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners to discuss the fields project. Herewith the notice put out by John Hopkins:
1. This is a meeting of the Vashon Park District. It is an open public meeting, and all interested people are encouraged to attend. All who attend should look at others as friends and not as enemies.
2. The meeting has been called to determine the best way to accomplish a goal, that simply stated. is the completion of the VES fields,on time, and within an established and approved budget. This includes securing all amounts from the state that have been designated for this project. We also seek community contributions and volunteer work on the project.
3.Craig Beles will facilitate the meeting. He has no connection to the park district.
4. Fair rules of order will be established by the district and will be announced before the meeting. They must be followed.
5. We want to examine all options. People should come with an open mind and no preconceived rock hard positions.
6. We are not gathering to gripe about past mistakes or actions.
7. We are gathering to develop a plan that will guide us to our goal. As a Commissioner, I looking forward to a stimulating meeting and some great results for all of Vashon. Thank you,
