Come tell King County what improvements you want for the passenger-only ferry dock area. They’ll be listening on Monday, March 18, at the 7 p.m. meeting of the Vashon Maury Island Community Council at McMurray Middle School on Cemetery Road. They are considering improving the passenger-only ferry dock area with a covered walkway, wind screen and covered bicycle storage. What other improvements do you want to suggest? A discussion will follow their presentation.
Also, on the agenda will be an update on the progress of the septic solutions, funding and its relationship to the Marine Recovery Areas. The newly formed drug house working group, formed after the presentation by the county sheriff, will give a summary of their progress and opportunities for islanders to get involved.
The community council needs to find a new source of funding and/or meeting place due to lack of any money and the new charges by the Park District for the use of the school room. Bring suggestions to solve this problem as well as topics you’d like to see addressed at future meetings.
