The Celebration of Life Party is happening on March 23rd starting at 7pm doors opening at 6:30pm. K RAD a VHS alumni run band will be our live Hip Hop band followed by some open mic time and then a DJ until 11:30pm. This year has been a tremendously difficult year of loss for many and it has hit the teen population of our island hard. The grief has been striking. In talking with some of Jessica's teen clients she asked how they would feel if we, the Vashon community, threw the island teens a party. The answer was "Yes, that would be great!." The party is not to take away any grief, but more so to let the VHS students and Alumni that we care and that while life is hard there is also fun and life in coming together to have a good time. Jessica has been working with some wonderful teens and adults that have been helping to organize the event. After putting our a call for support on Vashonall Jessica has received offers of money, talents, and time. As has been said many times we live on an island of generous and wonderful people. We are still in need of funds to cover our cost and food donations to bring to the party for the teens. Any money can be sent to Jessica Bolding at 11520 SW 220th St Vashon WA 98070 with memo of Celebration of Life party and emails can be directed to jessica@vashonprahm.com for food donations or other questions. While we do not anticipate going over the cost of the party in donations if we do we will make sure the money goes to support our teen community.
