Shaun Peterson, a noted artist of Puyallup and Tulalip heritage will speak about the diversity of Coast Salish culture, with a special focus on the Puyallup Tribe’s pre-contact culture. He will explain the differences between northern Coast Salish art (Alaska and northern B.C.) and southern style (southern B.C. to southwest Washington), as well as the cultural differences that drive those distinctions.
