Andre Feriante with The Bohemian Entourage

Seattle-based Andre Feriante, world-class Spanish/classical guitarist, poet and singer/songwriter has made his living from his art alon for twenty years. Yet for someone who has released 11 albums and played highly successful concerts worldwide, he remains remarkably humble.

“It all falls out from the center,” he says. “I play for my own healing and for close friends; a wide audience is icing on the cake. It’s a gift that I have to pass on.” Feriante defines himself as a cross-over artist in the vein of YoYo Ma or Sting.

His repertoire represents bold fluid musical fusion and features music from Bach to Leonard Cohen, flamenco improvisation to jazz standards, even poetry by Federico Garcia Lorca, Rumi and Feriante himself. The evening will also include Beatles songs from newest album, Beatles Masquerade. On stage, Feriante surrounds himself with Northwest-made guitars and a ukulele.

The Bohemian Entourage is Vashon’s own Jason Everett on 7-string and stand up basses and Stella Rossi, flamenco dancer with ballet and modern dance experience.
Tickets: $12/$15
