David Laskin, the Seattle author whose well-reviewed book, "The Family," has just been published will talk about his work at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Vashon Bookshop, 17612 Vashon Hwy SW. The describes the lives of Laskin's family members in Eastern Europe, America, and Israel in the 20th century. His appearance is hosted by the Bookshop and the Vashon Ecumenical Book Group.
