Sorting Truth in the News

Separating Fact from Fiction: Sorting Truth in the News.
The public relies on news sources for fair and accurate information; even more so with new media resources. The speed and immediacy of Twitter, blogs and Internet posting offers both new opportunities and challenges to journalists and the public in the quest for timely, reliable coverage of world and local events. Jerry Large (The Seattle Times), Essex Porter (KIRO TV) and Leslie Brown (Vashon-Maury Island Beachcomber) share their insights on vetting the news to enable citizens to make informed decisions. This program will be held at the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust building.
