Vashon Social Dance Group - Saturday Mar 21, 2015 Dance & Zydeco Lesson With Guest Instructor: Dance For Joy's Lilli Ann Carey
7:00-8:00pm: Zydeco Lesson We'll begin with the basics of both open and closed position for the hot SW Louisiana two-step dance and then build on, adding a few moves and styling. The music is hard-driving and playful roots music with elements of Cajun, Blues, Rock 'n Roll and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. The dance creates beautiful connection and yet allows for inspired individual play and freedom. There's a good reason it's popular from coast to coast!
8:00-9:30pm: Variety Dance - Lilli Ann offers a mix of zydeco, swing, blues, rock 'n roll, waltz and more for your dancing pleasure!
