If you do not have your own kite for Kite Day, the Ships's Store has a great selection of colorful ones to buy, easy assemby required. Geordie's Byre, with our own Jean & Dan, will be singing and playing, as in the past. Tours of the lighthouse, with the new windows, will be held. This event costs nothing, unless you are of a mind to contribute to the fishbowl out in the lighthouse, buy something in the Ship's Store, take out a membership in the Keepers, or buy some food. This is a great event, and we have had as many as 200 kite flyers, cheek to cheek out on our beach...come and join the fun!
