This class will cover basics of Microsoft Excel, focusing on the desktop version. Topics to be covered include the user interface; workbooks and worksheets; creating, editing, formatting and deleting worksheets; formatting data in worksheets; importing data from external sources; using formulas; performing calculations; sorting data; and using built-in functions. Prerequisites: Basic familiarity navigating the Windows operating system; understanding of Windows Explorer to navigate the computer's directory structure; ability to download files from the Internet.
