Spark the Fire Essential Grantwriting Seminars are the highly-rated, day-long seminars in which you will learn all the essentials of grantwriting to set you on the right track and help you steer clear of common grant proposal pitfalls. Perfect for beginners and intermediate grantwriters.

Learn the following skills: prospect research; building annual grants calendars; community needs assessments; proposal writing & storytelling; outcomes & evaluation; budget & attachments; submitting grants online and on paper; relationship building; and grants management.

The class is $115 per participant. Register by November 30th for the early bird price of $95 for the December 7th class on Vashon Island.

Allison Shirk has more than twenty years experience writing grants and ten years experience as a freelance grantwriter. She has taught over fifty grantwriting classes to hundreds of non-profit professionals in the last three years. Before becoming an instructor and freelance grantwriter, she was Lead Grants Manager for Catholic Community Services of Western Washington. She is a Site Reviewer for 4Culture and a Guest Columnist for the Foundation Center - New York's blog. She is a former Board Member of the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association and member of Association of Fundraising Professionals, Advancement Northwest Chapter.
